Sustainability
At Style Cheat we believe strongly in Sustainability and our supply chain. Everyday we make small steps to be more sustainable. See how we are doing this below.
Fabrics
We are trying to switch the majority of fabrics from Polyester to Viscose, Cottons and Linens. Viscose, Cotton and Linen are all natural fibres therefore more sustainable. We aim to have 70% of our range produced in natural fibres by 2023.
Community
In April 2020, when the global pandemic hit the world, we launched our Together Campaign and started producing fabric face coverings. We felt we needed to do something to help. We did this by using any surplus fabric we had from past orders, to make the face coverings in cotton and are pleased to say that 30% of the masks produced were produced in the UK.
For every face mask bought, we also donated a medical grade masks to front line workers, with us donating over 100,000 medical masks to the front line.
Supply Chain
Here at Style Cheat we are also ensuring that we have a transparent supply chain, meaning that we work with our fabric mills and trimmings suppliers to ensure we know exactly where the fabric and trims are made.
None of our surplus stock is thrown away, meaning it does not go into landfill, in actual fact we resell the surplus stock for a small price to reinvest in the business and we also donate a lot to charity or third world countries.
Our factory in Romania that we own and built, has just been installed with solar panels, meaning that a lot of the electricity that we use to make the garments and masks comes from natural resources. All factories that we use are ethically approved and BS and ISO accredited.
